New turn...

okay...so it's been recommended by others that i keep a record of all my goings-on this summer, so i figured i'd use this since it's already so pretty...

expect an actual update tomorrow??

so it's been a while...

Yeah, I know all two of you who read this thing have been really disappointed that I haven't been updating it!  Sorry about that!  A lot of stuff has happened in the past week and a half...here's a brief recap:

-Macbeth = awesome!

-Saki-bombing with the PQ's, Maggie, Andres and Gustavo

-Hook N' Ladder with the entire 10th floor? lol!

-Medea rehearsal with Grant (love him!)

-Missing "Man Who Came To Dinner" back home (but heard it was hilarious!)

-Missing my Avenue Q audition because I had no voice! :(

-Getting better, but then getting sick again because I don't take care of myself properly

-Missing more classes because I was sick/tired

-Pace Preview Day where I worked for 8.5 hours (oy!)

-My laptop's hard drive crashing for no apparent reason

-Being left without a laptop for over a week!!

-Having to actually use the computer labs at school to do work (lol!)

-Clarissa calling me randomly on Thursday telling me she was in NY

-Saki-bombing with Clarissa and everyone

-Gold Street diner...a lot!

-Kristin Louise coming to visit last weekend! <3

-Tribute cast party!!! <3

-Getting my laptop back today, free of charge because of my warranty!!!

Yup!  That's it...

Well, actually that was a lot...

but it's faster in list format!!

Sooo I have an Italian exam tomorrow that I need to study for, so ciao!!

Two Shows Down...One More To Go!!

soooo my two weeks of semi-hell are finally over...

it definately felt a lot longer than two weeks, but now I'm sad that it's over!!

Tribute turned out to be one of the most fun shows I've ever done!! I had soooo much fun with it and the entire cast became so close so quickly...it was a great experience and I miss it already!!

sooo now I only have Medea rehearsals left, and that doesn't go up until April, so we've still got plenty of time!  I'm really excited for that show too!!  It's such an interesting (though a bit creepy/morbid) take on the play...only steven could think of something like this!! lol!!

but of course, after two weeks of going like the energizer bunny, my body has finally caved in and I am sick...it's mostly a sore throat/no voice (which was so much to wake up to the DAY OF Tribute!) but now it's turning into more of a cold with all the fun nose stuff!  But i'm sure I'll be fine!! My mom came up yesterday to see Tribute, and we went to CVS to get all sorts of vitamins and cough drops, etc. so hopefully i'll nip this thing in the butt...this whole "it hurts to talk" thing is not going to work for me!!

my mom took videos of TRIBUTE so I would love to get them up on the computer at some point...but I'm unsure of how to do that exactly...so we'll see!!

okay...I have rehearsal in about an hour, so I'm gonna grab some dinner!

yay for the past week...

haha yeah sorry i haven't been updating this thing...

like i said, i've been having multiple rehearsals a day, mostly tribute work, that has been taking up all of my time and energy!!

in the past week, i had the vagina monologues, which was so much fun!! we wound up raising $1500 in ticket sales (which is amazing) and on top of that, the head of the women and gender studies department said that she would double whatever we made in ticket sales for the day one charity we're donating our proceeds to!!  so amazing!!!

like i said, we've been working on tribute all week, and it's most definately come a loooooooong ass way!!! everything's shaping up wonderfully! grant has been watching us and critiquing us, which has helped us sooo much!  tomorrow we're running the show for amy and a few other people as an invited dress rehearsal...which is a bit nerve-racking, but i'm sure we'll be fine!!

so much fun!! and i've been hanging out with so many cool people lately, i basically love college!!!

but i have 11am rehearsal, so i'm going to BED!!!

Complete Exhaustion...

So yesterday marked the start of my "Have Multiple Rehearsals Per Day" for the next week or two...

I probably sound like I'm complaining, but i am most DEFINATELY NOT!!!  The fact that I'm even in three shows right now is AMAZING and I'm loving every single minute of it!! (Except when my feet hurt and all I want to do is sleep...haha!)  I love all of the shows that I'm in and they all have great casts and directors!!  This is what I want to be doing for the rest of my life, without a doubt!!

I would elaborate more on my rehearsals, but I was literally going from 10am-6:30pm today...and I dont want to rehash it, so i'm sure you don't want to read about it!!

Tomorrow, I go from 10am-8pm, mostly doing TRIBUTE! stuff, but from 12-3pm I have Vagina Monologue Tech Rehearsal.  I wish I could stay for TRIBUTE! the whole time just because the accompanist is coming (for the first time) and that's when they'll be working most of the songs, but I'm sure I'll pick up on it quickly enough...I can always plunk out the notes on my macbook! lol!!

Singles Awareness Day

haha!! aww...i remember that from like middle school!  good times!!

today was a generally good day...acting class (so fun!), music with Dr. Lee Evans (love him!), and then Medea rehearsal, which was so much fun!!!! I'm soooo excited for this show!!

but today is valentine's day, and in honor of my valentines (who both live in VA...sad!) i'm going to go out and get crunk tonight!! haha!!  that way I can send them sloppy, valentine's day voicemails and text messages!

actually, I'm babysitting until...i'm not sure when...so hopefully it won't be too late and I can hit up TJ's with the girls or something...

basically, since I don't have an actual valentine (that's within 200 miles), Tommy, the bartender at TJ's is going to be my valentine!! haha!!

basically, this entry is pointless...and I don't want to go to bed yet...but i have to, so goodnight!!!

Not So Homesick Anymore...

Haha yeah...got over that pretty quickly!!

I literally have rehearsal every single day until 2/25, except for Valentines Day, which I will be spending going to class and then babysitting a 3 year old and a 6 month old...very romantic I should say!

I'm starting to get really excited for both of my shows coming up! Vagina Monologues is going to be great...there's a really great bond going on between cast members (I still don't know half the girls names in this show lol) but everybody seems to be getting along really well and has really strong characters!

TRIBUTE! i'm not going to lie, was making me pretty nervous this weekend...the dances were coming along, but tonight really sealed the deal for me!  The finale has been sorted out, we have a great dance number for "jumpin' jive" (and let me tell you, I have not danced that much in a VERY long time...and it was amazing!!) and everything seems to be coming along!  Granted we have to be completely off-book by Sunday, which should be an interesting feat...but I know we can do it!!

IT SNOWED TODAY!  IT SNOWED PRACTICALLY ALL DAY LONG!! Oh my goodness it was sooo pretty!! We've had snow a couple of times now, but only for like 10 minutes, and then it's completely melted...but today! They even cancelled all evening classes (which meant that my LAS film class and Vagina Monologue rehearsals were cancelled...) but it was great!!  We're all praying that the University will be closed again tomorrow...but those are some high hopes right there!!
